Rating this a 1 star as maybe we are spoilt in London, the bread was cold, the salad was nothing like the salad we are used to in London, once you finish the chilli sauce during the starters you need to pay for more and the chilli sauce they bring with the mains is the same as the ones provided in some chicken shops, the tangy mass produced one, i guess if you are from Wales, you may be used to it but by London standards the place is appalling and oh yh their meat doner was like biscuits.

The food was quite decent and I enjoyed it, the customer service we received from the waitress was great but the customer we received from the manager was atrocious. This woman was so rude when she was taking our order and i have heard other people complain about her before but I didn’t know it would be that bad. As lord as she is the manager there i will never come back to eat at that place. Awful manners ?

Very delicious food, fresh and friendly staff

I was not a massive fan of the food, was difficult to get any staff attention which was frustrating and service is very slow.

On my opinion, the best Turkish food in Cardiff. Quite large portions and complimentary bread and tea with your meal. My personal favourite plates are the mixed grill and the moussaka. If you are hungry the starters are lovely.

Nice Turkish cuisine with friendly staffs and good choices of foods. Always we were treated with bread and dip before tye meal as well as with tea and baklava after the meal for free.

Very good quality food and service ?

Whilst entering the restaurant the smells were amazing and the food being cooked looked great too. However there were 6 people waiting to be seated and absolutely no social distancing being enforced. Not one person entering was asked to hand sanitise or check in via the App. I also noticed that all the chefs were wearing face shields or masks but not one person has them covering their mouth or nose. There was a gentleman who asked us to sit down and to wait for the two of us to be seated. Whilst this gentleman answered the phone another 6 men claim in waiting for a table. A female employee asked the gentleman to please wear masks. Only 2 of them did so, their temperatures were taken and 4 of them seated before us. My friend stood up to challenge this and the male instantly returned and challenged my friend before she had a chance to speak. She explained that these people has been sat whilst we were waiting. The gentleman was clearly not happy to have been challenged by a woman and asked her to behave or leave. She did not raise her voice or swore but simply asked why others were sat before us. I was more than happy to not eat there as there were no regards to any covid safety measures and chefs certainly were wearing masks, but around the chin and all face visors were up. I was shocked at the lack of safety measures, not one customer was asked to hand sanitise or check in for track and trace and also disgusted at the way my friend was spoken to. My next port of call with be environmental health.

Too busy but food is very good

Love the place but wish they would sort out the oven issue, so far we have been told the chef is on holiday and also they do not take orders for any oven options when busy, sorry but I have no idea what that means, you can get different reasons on the same night dependent on who you ask. My latest visit I noticed that the portions have got smaller and the ribs I got were about 3 as 2 was just bones.. Pity.. This place seems to be going downhill, food also wasn't hot.. More like warm..

Amazing restaurant, the food is one of the best I have tasted in Cardiff. If you are in Cardiff visit Saray restaurant you will love. The Staffs are brilliant and very friendly. Best seabass I have ever had.

Food and service was very good and could not fault it

This is the best Turkish restaurant in Cardiff. The adana kebab, pirzola and chicken wings are all so good! While you are waiting for your meal, you are given bread, cacık, ezme and olives, and baklava and çay at the end of your meal, which is all really nice. The atmosphere is casual. We went during lockdown, and they took our temperature, asked for our contact details and observed social distancing. I would deffo recommend!

Amazing food ! All measures were expertly carried out, and we felt very comfortable with their professionalism ! We had a sharing platter which was outstanding, will definitely be returning here !

Regular customer at sarays but on one occasion during eat out to help out from the moment 5 of us went in the owner or the manager(tall skinny guy) was very rude my son refused to eat there and walked out it felt like we were eating charity food,we are paying customers, not getting freebies so no need for the bad attitude, food was great as usual but will never go there again if it was the last place on earth, disappointing.

Had an absolutely delicious lunch ! Have only had take away from here, during lockdown. Which was great, but even more delicious when freshly prepared, sitting in this beautiful restaurant, with a lovely mural on the wall. The restaurant was well organized for social distancing. The staff were efficient and friendly. And the advantage of sitting in, is you get to have the refreshing Turkish tea and baklava.

Always love visiting Saray. Their complimentary mezze before the start of your meal is a pleasant treat service is quick and staff are very helpful when asking about dishes. I always go for a platter and I am never disappointed. The complimentary tea and baklava with the bill is also such a nice touch. 10/10 no complaints here at all!

Delicious food, very polite and friendly staff, such a nice atmosphere too, prices also good.

I come here very often and absolutely love the food! The service is very quick and sincere. The portions are massive and they serve freshly baked bread with dips as a starter on the house.

Checked temperature and asked us to use hand gel complying with Coronavirus regulations. Food was great!

Expensive for what it was, and not that tasty.
